Umut Mutku

Biography

Umut Mutku, born in Istanbul in 1987, is a Turkish guitarist and music instructor. After studying at Doğulu Music School, he began his career with jingles and radio work on TGRT FM before performing with Yusuf Uğurer, including opening for Mr. Big, Hail (feat. Mike Portnoy), and Anathema in 2011. Since 2014, he has been the guitarist of Objektif, one of Turkey’s pioneering heavy metal bands, performing at major events such as the Deep Purple concert at Expo 2016. Beyond Objektif, he has collaborated with artists such as Barlas Erinç, Serhad Rasa, and Ufuk Ozkurt, while also sharing his expertise in music equipment at Senkop Music Store in Turkey. Today, he continues to perform and teaches as a guitar instructor at Gitarist Sanat ve Müzik Okulu.
