Biography

Parlin Burman Siburian (Pay Burman) is a highly respected Indonesian guitarist, songwriter, and producer. Born on May 2, 1970, he rose to prominence as a former guitarist of Slank and later as a co-founder of the rock band BIP, which has released multiple successful albums including Turun Dari Langit, Min Plus, and Udara Segar.
Beyond his band work, Pay is a prolific songwriter and producer who has collaborated with many of Indonesia’s top artists, such as Agnes Monica, Ari Lasso, Once, Kotak, and Bunga Citra Lestari. In 2018, he composed “Meraih Bintang”, the official anthem of the Jakarta Asian Games, which achieved massive national and international recognition.
On stage, Pay is strongly associated with FGN (Fujigen) guitars, valued for their craftsmanship, tone, and reliability, which support his expressive and powerful playing style. In addition to his musical career, he is actively involved in community and cultural initiatives, using music as a platform to inspire unity and national pride."
