Biography
Iman Taufik Rachman—professionally known as Iman J-Rocks or Imanine—is an Indonesian guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, and composer with over two decades of experience. He is best known as the vocalist and guitarist of J-Rocks, one of Indonesia’s most influential modern rock bands and the first Indonesian band to record at Abbey Road Studios in London.
Renowned for his refined tone, expressive phrasing, and musical restraint, Iman’s playing prioritizes emotion and melody, blending rock, blues, pop, and cinematic influences into a mature and distinctive voice. Beyond J-Rocks, he is active as a film composer and music scorer, with credits including Mentari di Ufuk Timur and Coto vs Konro, as well as commercial music projects.
Iman also leads his independent solo project Imanine, exploring ballads, modern city pop, instrumental works, and soundtrack-inspired compositions, including the Japanese-language release Yumegatari. Having performed extensively across Asia, including Japan, Iman views the guitar as an extension of artistic identity—an approach that aligns naturally with FGN Guitars, whose craftsmanship, tonal integrity, and playability support his expression on stage and in the studio.
