Vanja Šantak

Biography

Vanja Šantak is the lead guitarist, primary songwriter and co-founder of the Croatian black metal band TRIVAN, founded in 2018. He began his musical journey in early childhood, when the guitar was his favorite instrument and constant companion. After completing elementary music school with a focus on piano, he returned to guitar, which has since become his primary instrument and artistic voice.
Before founding TRIVAN, Vanja performed in various metal bands across Croatia, developing his compositional style and stage experience within the extreme music scene.
With TRIVAN, he established a project that goes beyond conventional band identity, focusing on authenticity, inner confrontation and transformation through music. As the creative force behind the band, he shapes both the musical and conceptual direction, combining aggressive precision with atmospheric depth.
TRIVAN’s music has gained international radio exposure across Europe, South America and the United States. With new singles scheduled for release and a full-length album in preparation, the band continues to expand its global presence within the extreme metal scene.
