Biography
Ivan Budaić, also known as Buda, is a Croatian guitarist from Osijek and a prominent figure in the regional punk and hardcore scene. He is best known as a guitarist for the melodic punk band Debeli Precjednik, internationally known as Fat Prezident, one of Croatia’s most influential punk acts.
Before joining Debeli Precjednik, Budaić played guitar in the Osijek hardcore band This Day Will Burn, where he developed a heavier, hardcore-influenced playing style. His background in both hardcore and melodic punk helped shape his distinctive guitar approach - combining fast, precise riffs with melodic leads.
Through his work with Debeli Precjednik, Budaić has performed on several releases and toured throughout Europe, contributing to the band’s reputation for energetic shows and a strong connection with the DIY punk community. Over the years, he has remained an active participant in the Osijek underground music scene and the broader Croatian punk movement.
Buda has been playing an FGN J-Standard Iliad JIL-RH/SB Silver Burst since 2014.
